​Light and shadow can enrich a photograph in so many ways. If used the right way, it can strengthen the photo by adding a sense of balance, contrast or dimensionality to the composition. It's light and shadow together that creates a mood and makes a great photograph.

What are your favourite things to photograph, besides your own children?

I am fascinated by the beauty of the ocean. I absolutely love the beach, it's my happy place. It's bright, vibrant and full of texture. That tranquil feeling I get by simply thinking about the beach puts a smile on my face and brings me joy. I am grateful to live in Wollongong, surrounded by so many lovely beaches to shoot at.

Meet handsome newborn little man Vincent J Knust aka Vinnie. It was such a pleasure to photograph this cute little bundle of joy so his family can cherish and remember his first weeks as a newborn. We need to cherish these moment and snuggles, they grow up fast. Congrats Jason and Sonia  xoxo
