Why are family portraits so important?
Whether you get your family portrait taken annually or every few years, it is important that you document the connection and love between your family. Your family portraits bring your family together and document the growth of your children. It is always my goal to capture that authentic moment between your family which will be cherished for generations to come.
Studies show that having your family photographed and having your loving portraits displayed prominently in your home sends the message that your family is important to one another, and that you honour the memories you created together. David Krauss, a licensed psychologist from Cleveland, Ohio says, “I think it is really important to show a family as a family unit. A photographer’s job is to create and make the image look like a safe holding space for kids where they are safe and protected. Kids get it on a really simple level.”
